Enterprise Video Conferencing Solutions at LinkedIn’s Memphis Building

Enterprise Video Conferencing Solutions at LinkedIn’s Building.

Client: LinkedIn (Memphis Building, Bagmane Capital campus)
AV Consultant: PTS Singapore
AV Integrator: Sigma AVIT
Scope: Audio Visual Supply, Installation, Integration, Commissioning, Programming, and After-Sales Support

Project Overview

At the core of LinkedIn’s Memphis Building transformation is a large-scale deployment covering 200 executive meeting rooms, interview and huddle spaces, and medium to large collaboration rooms. Sigma AVIT engineered enterprise video conferencing solutions that allow these spaces to operate as part of one intelligent conferencing ecosystem instead of functioning as separate installations.

The objective was to standardize collaboration at scale. All rooms, irrespective of their size or purpose, had to offer an identical experience based on the use of Microsoft Teams Rooms, Q-SYS AV-over-networking, Dante audio networking, and Logitech conferencing hardware. The system facilitates conferencing, audio capturing, wireless presentation, and room scheduling using a single infrastructure.

Every space was designed around the user experience. Employees would be able to access any meeting room, initiate a conference call, share information, and control room functionalities using easy-to-use touch interfaces without having to rely on technical support.

What Were the Client’s Goals?

The client, LinkedIn, desired to ensure that there is one consistent meeting experience for all employees, enabling them to pay attention to the discussion at hand while collaborating without struggling with the room technology.

Operational simplicity was central to the requirement. Users needed to enter a room, join a Teams call, and share presentations through familiar interfaces. At the same time, IT and facilities teams required centralized monitoring and simplified maintenance. The enterprise video conferencing solutions also needed to support future room additions and evolving Microsoft Teams Rooms technologies without requiring major infrastructure redesigns.

The Challenge

Delivering consistent enterprise video conferencing solutions across such a large and functionally diverse portfolio of rooms was the central challenge. Executive meeting rooms, interview rooms, huddle spaces, and medium and large collaboration rooms each presented different acoustic characteristics, layouts, and user requirements.

Interoperability added further complexity. The networked audiovisual infrastructure, Microsoft Teams Rooms, pro audio systems, collaboration tools, and centralized room scheduling had to work seamlessly together without impacting the voice quality or the user experience.

Audio coverage, microphone deployment, and camera deployment had to be configured for each room depending on its size and purpose, ranging from small huddle rooms to large executive conference rooms. Although all of this is technically challenging to do, users need to have an identical meeting experience across the board.

The Challenge - LinkedIn Building.

The Sigma AVIT Approach

Sigma AVIT developed enterprise video conferencing solutions around a unified architecture combining Microsoft Teams Rooms, Q-SYS networked AV, Dante audio networking, and centralized control. All 200+ rooms became part of a common platform, enabling centralized management and consistent operational standards across the meeting room portfolio.

Network-based audio and video distribution simplified the infrastructure while supporting centralized monitoring and future expansion. Each room followed standardized workflows, giving employees familiar meeting controls and conferencing interfaces regardless of the space they were using.

Enterprise video conferencing systems were made possible through the use of audio technology that was smart in its processing capability, microphones, and loudspeakers, designed for different room sizes. The placement of the equipment, the integration of the rack, and the management of the cables were also taken into consideration.

What We Implemented

1. Enterprise Conferencing: Enterprise video conferencing solutions based on Microsoft Teams Rooms were deployed across 200 executive meeting rooms, interview and huddle spaces, and medium- to large-sized collaboration rooms.

2. Networked AV Backbone: A Q-SYS ecosystem provides AV-over-IP distribution, Dante-based audio networking, and centralized device management across conferencing spaces.

3. Video Capture: Networked PTZ cameras support consistent video capture across rooms of varying sizes.

4. Audio Coverage: Wireless and ceiling array microphones are paired with distributed loudspeaker systems and configured according to the requirements of huddle rooms, medium rooms, and larger executive spaces.

5. Room Scheduling: Centralized room scheduling supports meeting-space management across the entire room portfolio.

6. Centralized Control: Standardized touch interfaces allow employees to start meetings and share content across the 200+ spaces without technical assistance.

The Outcome

The completed enterprise video conferencing solutions have created a more consistent meeting experience across LinkedIn’s Memphis Building. Employees can use rooms of different sizes with familiar controls, faster meeting workflows, and reliable conferencing, while standardized technology supports a consistent experience across the campus.

Centralized AV management has also reduced operational complexity for IT and facilities teams. Standardized hardware platforms and networked monitoring simplify maintenance, troubleshooting, and future upgrades across the meeting room portfolio.

The scalable infrastructure also allows additional meeting rooms and evolving Microsoft Teams Rooms technologies to be incorporated into the existing enterprise video conferencing solutions without requiring a major redesign, supporting the long-term flexibility of the workplace technology environment.

From Meeting Rooms to a Unified Conferencing Ecosystem

The LinkedIn Memphis Building project shows how enterprise video conferencing solutions can create a consistent meeting experience across diverse spaces. By integrating Microsoft Teams Rooms, networked AV, professional audio, and centralized control, Sigma AVIT delivered a scalable conferencing environment that is easier to use and manage.
