Corporate Digital Signage Solutions Across LinkedIn’s Memphis Building
AV Consultant: PTS Singapore
AV Integrator: Sigma AVIT
Project Overview
LinkedIn’s Memphis Building required AV technology beyond its meeting and collaboration rooms. Across nine floors, the workplace included an all-hands training facility, studio, gym and wellness areas, cafeteria, technology showcase spaces, and digital signage environments.
As part of the wider AV ecosystem, Sigma AVIT integrated corporate digital signage solutions with BrightSign media systems, networked AV, professional audio, and centralized management. This created a common technology foundation for delivering content across shared and specialized workplace environments.
The Challenge
Digital communication across a large workplace needs to work alongside several other AV applications, each with different operational requirements.
Training facilities, studio spaces, wellness areas, presentation environments, and digital signage all formed part of the same technology ecosystem. The challenge was to support content delivery across these environments while maintaining centralized management and avoiding isolated systems for individual areas.
The corporate digital signage solutions also needed to integrate with the wider networked AV infrastructure so that signage could operate as part of the workplace technology environment rather than as a standalone platform.
The Sigma AVIT Approach
Sigma AVIT developed a unified architecture that connected digital signage with the broader AV ecosystem.
BrightSign-powered signage infrastructure was integrated alongside Q-SYS networked AV, Dante audio networking, professional displays, and centralized control. This allowed different workplace environments to retain their specific functions while remaining connected through a common technology platform. The corporate digital signage solutions were therefore implemented as part of a larger content and communication infrastructure, supporting centralized distribution while keeping system management more consistent for IT and facilities teams.
How Digital Signage Fits into the Workplace
Rather than operating independently, the signage infrastructure forms part of a wider workplace communication environment.
1. Digital Signage: BrightSign-powered infrastructure supports digital content delivery across the campus.
2. Professional Displays: Enterprise-grade displays provide the visual layer for communication across relevant workplace environments.
3. Networked AV: Q-SYS AV-over-IP infrastructure supports the broader distribution and management architecture.
4. Shared & Specialized Spaces: Digital communication operates alongside AV systems serving training, studio, wellness, cafeteria, and presentation environments.
5. Centralized Management: Networked monitoring and common management platforms give technology teams greater visibility across the wider AV ecosystem.
Together, these elements allow corporate digital signage solutions to function as part of a connected workplace infrastructure rather than as separate display installations.
Supporting Workplace Communication
The distributed AV architecture expanded the client’s ability to deliver content across meeting spaces, training rooms, digital signage displays, and specialized environments.
This common platform supports internal communication, employee engagement, and organizational events across different areas of the workplace.
For a workplace of this scale, integrating corporate digital signage solutions with the wider AV infrastructure also creates a more consistent approach to technology management instead of introducing another independent system for teams to maintain.
The Outcome
The integrated infrastructure gives LinkedIn a common technology platform for distributing content across digital signage and other workplace environments.
For IT and facilities teams, centralized monitoring and standardized infrastructure simplify management, troubleshooting, and future technology upgrades. The wider architecture also enables the incorporation of additional technologies and spaces without requiring major infrastructure replacement.
By integrating corporate digital signage solutions within the wider AV ecosystem, Sigma AVIT helped create an infrastructure where workplace communication, content distribution, and specialized AV environments can operate through a connected platform.
From Digital Displays to Connected Workplace Communication
The Memphis Building project demonstrates how corporate digital signage solutions can become part of a broader workplace communication strategy when they are integrated with networked AV and centralized management.
Instead of functioning as isolated screens, digital signage becomes one component of a connected infrastructure supporting communication and content across the workplace.
